Talofa lava and welcome to Samoan language week.
The theme for this year is 'Tapena sou oso mo lau malaga' which can be translated to 'Prepare yourself a gift for your travels'
Here are some simple greetings and phrases you can practice with someone else
Talofa (lava) - Hello
O a mai oe? - How are you?
Manuia fa'afetai - I'm fine thank you
Ae a 'oe? - How about you?
Ua ou fia moe - I'm tired
Ua ou fia 'ai - I'm hungry
Ua ou malulu - I'm cold
Ua ou fiafia - I'm happy
Ua ou fa'anoanoa - I'm sad
Toe feiloa'i taeao - See you tomorrow
Tofa soifua/Tofa/Fa - Goodbye
O au mea na e fai? - What are you up to?
Ua ou fai la'u mea a'oga - I'm doing my homework
Ua ou matamata i le televise - I'm watching TV
Ua ou talanoa i le telefoni - I'm on the phone (talking)
Ua ou sauni mo le a'oga - I'm getting ready for school
